Voice of Peace: China-Bangladesh singing contest held at DIU

The “Voice of Peace” China/Bangladesh Singing Competition 2025 was held at Daffodil International University (DIU) on 18 August, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.
The competition was jointly organised by DIU, its Belt and Road Research Centre, and the Embassy of China. Students from DIU, NSU, BRAC, DU, Shanto-Mariam University, and the Overseas Chinese Association performed patriotic and peace songs in Bangla and Chinese.
Ms. Sun Ruoge won First Prize for the song “Guo Jia,” while special awards honored Spirit of Heritage, Cross Language Performance, Best Historical Reenactment, and International Friendship Bridge. Prof. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Pro VC of DIU, graced the occasion as a Chief Guest by speaking on sustaining peace through youth power.
