Saiful Islam, a bestselling author and CEO of an English teaching platform named “English Therapy”, has spent the past seven years helping thousands of learners become fluent in English. Many of his students are now working in reputable organisations or pursuing higher education abroad.

“Learning English can be very easy and fun if you follow the right method,” Saiful explains, highlighting the value of a structured yet enjoyable approach.

In today’s digital era, Saiful believes learning English no longer requires expensive coachings or physical classrooms. “If you have willpower and a hardworking mind, you can learn to speak and write English well within five to six months,” he says.

According to him, learners can strengthen their skills in grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing through online resources available for free or at a minimal cost.

For beginners, he advises starting with reading materials readily available. “By reading whatever you get, you can learn new vocabulary and improve your reading skills at the same time,” Saiful shares. Whether it’s a blog, a newspaper article or a social media post, he believes consistent reading helps internalise language patterns, easing the path to speaking fluently.

Vocabulary development, he points out, should be a deliberate daily habit. “Try to learn at least one new word every day,” he suggests. Writing down the word along with an example sentence helps reinforce memory and allows for quick revision. “Although it may seem a bit boring at first, you’ll eventually turn it into a fun habit,” he adds, encouraging learners to stay consistent.

Saiful places strong emphasis on the role of speaking in mastering a language. “If you can’t speak English, what is the real importance of the language?” he asks. He recommends that learners find a speaking partner for regular conversation, which can help overcome hesitation and build fluency. “Speaking directly to someone helps you overcome your inner inertia,” he notes.

Beyond the classroom, English opens up wider opportunities for career and cultural engagement. “By learning English, you can build a global career, explore freelancing, and access more job opportunities within the country,” Saiful says. He also points out that English is essential for enjoying international content and connecting with people across borders. “The importance of knowing English to make yourself known globally is immense,” he affirms.

However, Saiful reminds learners that no technique will be fruitful without the right mindset. “The most important thing is to develop the right mindset and regular language practice habits,” he emphasises. He advises learners to remain patient, stay curious, and not let mistakes discourage them. “Success is not possible without regular practice, so take the learning process as a fun endeavour,” he concludes.
