Adolescence’s Owen Cooper receives a historic Emmys nomination

Fifteen-year-old British actor Owen Cooper has made history as one of the youngest ever nominated for an Emmy, earning a nod for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series.
He stars in ‘Adolescence’, a gripping four-part Netflix drama about a 13-year-old boy accused of murder. Co-star Ashley Walters, actresses Christine Tremarco and Erin Doherty, and lead Stephen Graham also received nominations. ‘Adolescence’ secured 13 nominations in total, including Best Limited Series and Best Writing for co-creator Jack Thorne.
Leading the nominations is ‘Severance’ with 27, followed by ‘The Penguin’ (24) and ‘The White Lotus’ (23). The Emmys will take place in Los Angeles on 14 September, honouring television’s top talent across drama, comedy, and reality categories.
