BYLC Career Bootcamp

The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered one of the worst job crises since the Great Depression. There is a real danger that the crisis will increase poverty and widen inequalities, with the impact felt for years to come. The situation has worsened for job-seekers following the pandemic, posing challenges to the strained job market. Despite this crisis, several national and international development organizations in Bangladesh have continued their work and positively impacted people’s livelihoods.

In Bangladesh, the education sector was one of the worst pandemic victims. From primary to tertiary, educators, administrators, and students have struggled with the skills gaps that exacerbated the country’s overall educational progress. This sector doesn’t only offer jobs but also creates exclusive scopes to contribute to society through different pathways. Being an educator demands several transferable skills and an adaptive mindset to solve multi-faced problems regularly. Teaching, training, research, institution management, and administrative scopes are open for our new generation of job-seekers to fill in. BYLC Education & Training Sector Career Bootcamp will unpack these opportunities in front of the participants. It’ll also enable the attendees to develop the skills required for a meaningful career in this sector with a complete guideline to connect the employers.

The pandemic has also brought in the demand for a new set of 21st-century skills that graduating students and fresh graduates need in addition to traditional education. Aligning with the opportunities provided by this high potential sector for young job seekers, BYLC is organizing a month-long Education Sector Career Bootcamp from November 25, 2022, to December 24, 2022, where participants can gain first-hand knowledge of the skills and mindset required to enter this industry from esteemed faculty members and renowned industry experts. This program will enable graduates to get an apprenticeship/internship or a job with BYLC’s partner organizations, including the 100+ companies affiliated with BYLC’s Office of Professional Development (OPD) team. Additionally, graduates of BYLC Education and Training Sector Career Bootcamp 2022 can avail of career mentoring and placement opportunities by OPD.
