PR4U hosts workshop exploring advertising beyond a profession
PR4U, an apprenticeship programme of the Media Studies and Journalism Department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), successfully organised a workshop titled “Advertising: A Job or What?” on 9 April 2026, aiming to give students a deeper understanding of the advertising industry beyond its conventional perception as merely a career choice.
The session created an interactive learning environment in which participants explored how creativity, strategy, storytelling and consumer psychology collectively shape modern advertising practices.
The workshop encouraged students to rethink advertising as a dynamic profession that blends innovation with analytical thinking. Through discussions and real-world examples, attendees gained insights into how advertising functions not only as a job, but also as a powerful medium of communication and brand storytelling.
The session was attended by Abir Das, creative supervisor at GREY, whose professional experience and industry insights made the workshop engaging and inspiring. He shared practical knowledge about creative processes, agency culture and the evolving advertising landscape, encouraging students to explore diverse opportunities in the field.
The event ended with an interactive discussion session, where participants engaged with the speaker, asked questions and reflected on their own creative aspirations.
Through this initiative, PR4U reaffirmed its commitment to creating meaningful learning opportunities that bridge academic knowledge and industry experience, empowering students to explore innovative career paths in communication and advertising.
