Role Purpose
- To maintain and enhance professional development and academic quality in the teaching centre, through the management of in-house teacher development programmes and support.
- To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English.

Accountabilities
- Teacher Management and Development: Oversee teacher performance through observations, provide well-being support, and facilitate recruitment, induction, and mentoring programs to maintain high teaching standards.
- Promotion of Teaching Excellence: Design and deliver CPD programs, model effective teaching practices, share ELT advancements, and represent the organization at professional events.
- Product and Service Enhancement: Implement teaching frameworks, collaborate with operations teams, manage feedback integration, and support the rollout of new courses and products.
- Safeguarding, EDI, and SEND Integration: Embed safeguarding practices, promote equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and support special educational needs (SEND) policies within teaching operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Act as a duty officer, support communication between teachers, students, and parents, and ensure policy alignment across academic and operational teams.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree
- Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL
- Cambridge DELTA or Trinity Diploma TESOL or equivalent as recognized by the British Council
- Relevant Young Learner qualification
Desirable
- Relevant Masters or Postgraduate qualification
Work Experience
- 2 years post-diploma i.e. DELTA or Trinity Diploma TESOL experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in management and delivery of teacher training.
- Experience in line managing or coordinating teaching teams.
- Experience in teaching relevant age groups to be specified by the center
- Early Years aged 2 to 5 (400+ hours).
- Primary aged 6 to 10 (400+ hours).
- Lower Secondary aged 11 to 14 (800+ hours).
- Upper Secondary aged 15 to 17 (400+ hours).
- University/Vocational students aged 18 to 25 (400+hours).
- Adults General English 18+ (800+ hours).
Desirable
- Experience in academic management at the Senior Teacher or Academic Manager level in an English language teaching center.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Gross Salary Monthly between Min 93,750 – Max 1,31,250 BGT (depending on qualification and work experience).
- Transport Allowance: You are entitled to receive a monthly transport allowance of BDT 9,000.
- Annual Leave: 19 days paid annual leave in each calendar year, in addition to the public and official holidays recognized by the BC Services Bangladesh Limited, or the pro rata equivalent..
- Medical Allowances: After completing the probation period, you and your declared dependents will be covered by the BC Services Bangladesh Limited local staff medical scheme.
- Group insurance: All employees will be covered by a group insurance policy
Settling-in allowance: (if you are recruited from outside Bangladesh)
- Settling in allowance equal to 3 weeks salary for accompanied employee and equal to 2 weeks salary for unaccompanied employee
- Separate Rent loans for expat / overseas recruited teachers and then are deducted from salary.
- Assistance provided by Resources by sharing leads for brokers for searching accommodation. Permanent accommodation to be paid by employee themselves.
- Baggage allowance :One Time accountable Baggage Allowance £ 1,200 for single employees and £ 2,000 for accompanied.
Additional Information
- Contract Duration: 24 Months
- Contract Hours: 37.5 hours/week
- Contract Teaching Hours: 6-12 hours/week
- Tentative start date: May 2025
- Work schedule: Standard hours of work are 7.5 (seven and half) hours a day excluding a 1 (one) hour break. The precise days and hours of your work will be agreed with your line manager.
