
Accounts Officer | BAUST
Position Description & Key Responsibilities
BAIUST solicits applications for the post of Accounts Officer under the Treasurer’s Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
a. Maintaining and monitoring accounts receivable, including preparing student and other receivable schedules.
b. Overseeing daily collection activities, ensuring proper documentation and timely deposit of funds.
c. Preparing and performing bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis.
d. Assisting in the preparation of periodic and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable standards and university policies.
e. Ensuring proper Tax and VAT compliance, including withholding, filing, documentation, and liaison with relevant authorities.
f. Maintaining general ledger, journal entries, and month-end/ year-end closing.
g. Ensuring proper record keeping, documentation, and filing of financial information.
h. Assisting in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary schedules and explanations.
i. Any other tasks assigned by the Treasurer or higher authority relevant to the role.

Academic Qualification and Requirements
Essential:
a. Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) and Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from any reputed university.
b. CA (course Complete) or partially qualified candidates will be given preference.
c. Computer proficiency with sound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software/Tally/ERP will be an added advantage.
d. Strong analytical ability, integrity, and attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits
a. As per the University’s Service Policy (Accounts Officer) – Grade 09.
b. Other Benefits: Gratuity, Provident Fund as per university policy.
