Assistant Manager (Chemist), Production | Akij Bicycle & Engineering Ltd.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Monitors and controls all bicycle chemicals, including paints, coatings and adhesives, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Review and select appropriate chemicals and materials for use in bicycle manufacturing, ensuring compliance with performance, sustainability and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that all chemical processes, including waste disposal and emission control, comply with industry regulations and environmental standards.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to identify chemicals used in the process, such as paints, solvents and adhesives.
  • Check the quality of chemicals used, such as coatings and adhesives, to ensure they meet the requirements and ensure the longevity of bikes.
  • Promote innovation in the bicycle industry, exploring new materials and processes to improve product performance, reduce costs and enhance environmental sustainability.
  • Leads and coaches the team, providing ongoing training in safety procedures, best practices, and quality standards.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Technical/Engineering, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry, Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry

Experience

  • 10 to 12 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Tire manufacturer, Bicycle

Additional Requirements

  • Age 32 to 42 years
  • Sound Knowledge on compliance terms And Conditions of using acid/Chemicals.
  • Analyze ability to comply with REACH/CPSC standards.
  • Sound Knowledge on Biological/Biochemical ETP operation and Maintenance.
  • Sound Knowledge on preparing MSDS,BOM on Value added projects.
