Assistant Manager, Communications | BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health

The BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) at BRAC University was established in 2004 as an educational and research institution focusing on teaching, research, and services. The goal of the School is not only to impart knowledge but also to act as a centre of excellence in knowledge creation through research and training that connects with practice.

JPGSPH is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Assistant Manager to join its Communications team and contribute to strengthening the School’s brand, digital presence, and strategic outreach.

The Assistant Manager, Communications will play a central role in enhancing institutional visibility, strengthening brand identity, and driving digital communication efforts. The position involves strategic communication, content development, media engagement, and oversight of digital marketing initiatives in alignment with the School’s academic and research priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Branding

  • Develop and execute integrated communications and branding strategies across ATL, BTL, and TTL channels.
  • Maintain consistency of messaging and visual identity across all communication outputs.

Digital Marketing & Campaigns

  • Lead digital marketing campaigns, manage paid media, SEO/SEM, and optimise engagement using analytics and insights.
  • Oversee content planning and performance tracking across major social media platforms.

Website & Digital Platform Management

  • Coordinate and update website content ensuring accuracy, SEO alignment, and audience relevance.
  • Strengthen institutional digital presence through data-driven enhancements.

Content Development & Media Relations

  • Produce press releases, stories, newsletters, briefs, and other communication products.
  • Maintain relationships with journalists, media houses, and external partners.
  • Support promotion of academic events, research dissemination, and institutional initiatives.

Visibility, Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor media trends and audience engagement.
  • Prepare communication reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of professional experience in communications, digital marketing, public relations, or a creative agency environment.
  • Proven expertise in campaign management, data analytics, and multi-platform digital engagement.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Bangla.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/Canva, MS Office, and basic multimedia editing tools.
  • Experience working with academia, research institutions, NGOs, or the development sector is preferred.
