Responsibilities & Context
- Finalization of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements as per IAS/ IFRS.
- Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts and accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and payroll are recorded properly.
- Perform fixed-asset accounting as needed.
- Provide direction and supervision to accounting staff in the month-end close and year-end close.
- Assists with the preparation of Operational and Capital budgets.
- Collects, compiles, analyzes, and prepares data for special surveys, projects, and reports.
- Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business objectives
- Analyzing financial performance, variances, and trends to provide insights and recommendations
- Preparing periodic financial reports and dashboards for top management
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and investment strategies
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies
- Coordinating audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors
- Identifying financial risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitoring and controlling costs to improve profitability of projects
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Leading and mentoring the team, ensuring high performance and professional development
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals
- Providing financial guidance to subordinates
- Overseeing the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Managing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Analyzing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making.
- Evaluating potential investments, acquisitions, or divestitures from a financial perspective.
- To ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, IAS).
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Managing tax planning and compliance, including income tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Ensuring the organization takes advantage of available tax incentives and deductions.
- Ensure VDS, TDS, VAT return, and Tax return in a timely as per rules & regulations.
- To review & monitor Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable management.
- Assisting management in framing corporate policy regarding Tax & VAT.
- Maintain liaison with Govt. Office for working Tax & VAT related Assessment, Appeal & Tribunal work.
Requirements
Education
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information System, Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting, Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting & Information System
- ACCA /ACA /CA-CC (Course Completed) from reputed CA Firms
- At least CA Professional Level qualified.
- University of Dhaka,IBA, Dhaka University,Jagannath University,Jahangirnagar University,IBA, Jahangirnagar University students will get preference
Experience
- At least 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Insurance, Investment/Merchant Banking, Multinational Companies, Audit Firms /Tax Consultant, Group of Companies, Financial Consultants, Third Party Auditor (Quality, Health, Environment, Compliance
