About the position 
The Nordic Embassies in Dhaka are seeking to recruit a Front Desk Officer/Receptionist. You will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced Administrative Team that handles a wide range of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the collocated embassies’ front desk and contributing to administrative tasks relating to the three Nordic Embassies. 

The applicant should be a Bangladeshi national and be fluent in English. Knowledge of Danish/Swedish/Norway language is not necessary but would be a plus. 

The Nordic Embassies are looking for a Front Desk Officer/Receptionist who is flexible, open-minded and has an intuitive flair for customer service. Communication with the embassies’ clients/guests will be the main tasks, but the applicant is expected to be part of the Nordic Front Desk Team. Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Manning the Nordic Front Desk with other Front Desk Officer. 
• Managing all incoming calls via a computerized switchboard. 
• Servicing all incoming clients (official visitors, visa applicants, nationals from the respective missions’ countries, service providers). 
• Handling all incoming deliveries from service elevator in coordination with relevant parties. 
• In charge of issuing Nordic ID cards and guest IDs. 
• Managing eight meeting rooms’ booking system via Outlook calendar. 
• Liaison with security guards on the Nordic Embassies floors, Main Gate and Bay’s Control Room. 
• Monitor CCTV cameras. 
• Extend support to various administrative tasks. 
• Back-up for other colleagues. 
• Carry out any other responsibility as required from time to time by the management.

You Must Have
• A  Bachelor or Master’s degree.
• Preferably 2-5 years’ work experience as a Front Desk Officer in an Embassy or an international organization.
• Perfect knowledge of the English language – spoken and written. 
• Excellent IT skills at user level, including skills in Microsoft Office. 
• A good sense a humour and be a team player. 
• Good organizational skills, be responsible and flexible. 
• The ability to work in a busy and sometimes hectic environment. 

Employment Conditions
• You will be offered a full time open ended employment. The position is subject to a 3 months’ initial probation period.
• Your employment is subject to successful security clearance. 
• Working hours are 37 hours per week. 
• You will be entitled to twenty days of paid holiday per year.

• As part of your salary, you will be covered by a workplace pension scheme. 
• You and your dependant family members will be offered reasonable coverage of sickness expenses.
