IT Security Officer | Woori Bank

As part of its business expansion, Woori Bank is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Position: IT Security Officer
Department: Information Technology

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies in line with Bangladesh Bank’s ICT Security Guidelines
• Conduct SIEM monitoring, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, forensic analysis, and threat intelligence–based detection
• Monitor IT infrastructure, servers, applications, and SIEM platforms for vulnerabilities and anomalies, ensuring timely mitigation
• Ensure security patches are up to date and address audit observations from Bangladesh Bank and internal/external audits
• Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents; prepare reports for management and regulators
• Support IT governance, audits, and compliance reporting
• Collaborate across teams to integrate cybersecurity controls into IT architecture
• Propose training and awareness programmes to strengthen security culture
• Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats and regulatory requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field
• Preferred certifications: ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, PCI DSS Implementation or QSA, CISSP, CISA, CEH, CISM
• 5–8 years’ experience in the banking IT sector, with at least 3 years in IT policy implementation, monitoring, and security systems management
• Proven skills in incident detection, analysis, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and forensic investigations
• Strong understanding of security threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, exploits, and regulatory compliance requirements
