Monitoring and Evaluation Associate | Centre For Policy Dialogue (CPD)
Responsibilities & Context
- The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) invites applications from promising professionals for the position of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Associate.
- The M&E Associate will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation and learning framework of projects and programmes. To ensure effective monitoring, the M&E Associate will ensure timely receipt of detailed reports from all meetings, dialogues, training sessions, expert group meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions. The M&E Associate will accurately capture discussions, decisions, action points, and feedback for documentation and later analysis. Furthermore, the M&E Associate will need to maintain attendance records of events and take/collect photographs as visual evidence of activities for reporting purposes.
- The M&E Associate will compile all training materials used during sessions with assistance from CPD’s Research and Dialogue Division colleagues, ensuring a comprehensive record of delivered content. Additionally, the M&E Associate will collect copies of all publications and track social media metrics, collaborating with CPD’s Dialogue and Communications Division to submit evidence of engagement.
- The M&E Associate will conduct pre-assessment surveys to evaluate stakeholders’ baseline capacity regarding thematic working areas and post-assessment surveys to measure improvements in understanding and skills. The Associate will develop defined indicators and structured survey questionnaires to measure stakeholders’ understanding and readiness to support sustainable development
- After thorough analysis, the M&E Associate will prepare detailed reports outlining the project’s progress, outcomes, and challenges, which will serve as communication tools for stakeholders, ensuring accountability and transparency. The Associate will share these findings with CPD management as well as different funding entities. All reports, analyses, and supporting evidence will be archived for future reference.
- The applicant should be highly motivated and committed and must be capable of displaying learning ability and a capacity to work effectively as a team player. Also, the applicant should be willing to travel outside Dhaka to carry out M&E related activities of projects/programmes.
Requirements
Education: A Master’s degree, preferably in social sciences, economics, development studies, or statistics with academic and professional credibility
Experience: At least 2 years
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in an M&E position; responsible for implementing M&E activities of national/international development projects
- Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closure stages
- Strong written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive reports and documentation
- Familiarity with designing and conducting surveys, including developing structured questionnaires and indicators to measure project outcomes and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in organising and facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including managing logistics, participant coordination, and post-event evaluations
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer applications skills (in using software for data analysis)
- Excellent interpersonal abilities
- Language Requirements: A good written and oral communication skill both in English and Bangla
