Program Organizer | Shishu Polli Plus

Shishu Polli Plus (a project of The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh) is a humanitarian organisation located in Sreepur of Gazipur District. It provides support in the form of shelter, education, rehabilitation, and livelihood training to destitute mothers and children, helping them to resettle in their communities with improved financial and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the position of Program Organizer for the Child & Mother Care Department as per the following:

Responsibilities

Prime Responsibilities:

• House-wise accommodation for all beneficiaries to be arranged
• Managing beneficiaries as per organisational norms
• Closely working with mothers and children, maintaining proper rules and regulations
• Conducting meetings to familiarise mothers and children with the rules and regulations of the institution
• Monthly meetings with beneficiary mothers, leader mothers, and children
• Planning, arranging, and observing special days according to the yearly calendar
• Preparation of incident reports
• Planning, arranging, and conducting sports and games for children of SPP villages
• Issuing requisitions for monthly required goods
• Updating all types of registers and performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Counselling mothers and children as required
• Providing entertainment for mothers and children
• Routinely updating mothers’ tasks and tokens
• Assisting in the preparation of the yearly budget for CMC
• Helping beneficiaries to develop healthy relationships with others and ensuring no conflicts arise
• Ensuring three main meals and two tiffin
• Arranging treatment if mothers and children are sick

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Sociology
• Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Social Science
• Bachelor of Arts (BA)
• Candidates with relevant job experience in NGOs and shelter home work are highly encouraged to apply

Experience:

• At least 2 years
• Applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Additional Requirements:

• Age 25 to 35 years
• Organising safe swimming and entertainment swimming
• Organising festivals and cultural events
• Assisting in the purchase of goods
• Payment of monthly allowance to mothers
• Skills & Expertise: Event planning and coordination, good communication skills, managerial and leadership skills, monitoring and reporting, NGO project management, social work
