Job Purpose
The Project Officer (Campaign and Communication) will provide technical support to project-related communications and branding. This includes content development, virtual communication, campaign planning, material development and dissemination, media engagement, and community involvement. The role aims to strengthen women’s voices by building their capacity and leadership, empowering them to take collective action to address climate change impacts, prevent child marriage, and combat domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the programme team in developing concept notes for campaigns and organising related activities.
  • Produce high-quality media content, including narratives, photographs, videos, graphic designs, and stories.
  • Support programme teams with writing and editing documents.
  • Maintain a database of media organisations and ensure regular communication.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and business partners related to media and communication.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases for print, electronic, social, and digital media platforms.
  • Plan and execute online social media campaigns aligned with project targets and requirements.
  • Support branding, campaign, and communications initiatives of MJF as required.
  • Organise media activities and campaigns on climate change, women’s engagement in climate-resilient agriculture, plastic pollution, and other relevant topics.
  • Arrange advocacy meetings as assigned by the supervisor and MJF.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by MJF.

Skills

  • Expertise in communication and social media management (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram).
  • Experience with online acquisition and reporting tools (Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics).
  • Strong skills in digital design and development, video content creation, website updates, internal communication, and English proficiency.
  • Ability to design visually appealing graphics for social media campaigns.
  • Ability to edit and produce high-quality promotional videos, reels, and motion visuals.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva Pro, CapCut, etc.
  • Strong conceptualisation, design, and implementation skills for large-scale information campaigns.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise written and visual communication materials.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years and maximum 5 years of experience in development communication.
  • Experience with national or international NGOs or media houses is preferred.

Competencies

  • Strong relationships with media stakeholders and a thorough understanding of media communication planning.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Media and Communication, Journalism, or Social Sciences.

Key Contacts and Relationships

  • The Project Officer will work closely with the programme team (CREA Project) and all grantees.
  • Regular coordination with the Director of Rights & Governance, Director of Finance & Administration, and relevant departments.

Working Conditions: Based in Dhaka, with travel required outside the office depending on project activities.

Remuneration: Fixed monthly salary of Tk 49,904, plus festival allowance.
