About the Project
The Bangladesh Biorefinery & Biocrude Innovation Center (3BIC), under Window 3(a), Advanced Research, of the UGC HEAT ATF Sub-Project 13733, is a pioneering initiative advancing biorefinery development for sustainable biocrude production. The project focuses on hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) technology and the establishment of a Biocrude Innovation Center for comprehensive analysis and performance evaluation.
Position: Research Assistant (RA)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and conducting hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) experiments
- Operate and maintain pilot-scale HTL systems for waste-to-fuel conversion
- Collect, analyse, and interpret experimental data
- Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for dissemination
- Conduct literature reviews and contribute to innovative biorefinery strategies
- Collaborate with the project team in academic and industrial outreach activities
Qualification Requirements
- B.Sc. in Civil, Chemical, Environmental Engineering (or related field)
- Background in waste management, energy engineering, or thermochemical conversion
- Hands-on laboratory experience in chemical/energy research preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and scientific communication
- Familiarity with ASPEN PLUS/HYSIS is an advantage
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
