Position : Research Intern (Quantitative)

The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multidisciplinary academic institute that promotes global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training, and advocacy. CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global issues, including fragility, conflict, and violence.
The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is offering an internship opportunity for research enthusiasts, particularly fresh graduate students. The selected intern will gain hands-on experience working within a multidisciplinary institute. The primary objective of the internship programme is to support research activities at CPJ. In addition, the intern will assist with logistics, administrative tasks, and other operational duties assigned by the leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support research activities in CPJ
- Translate and transcribe as needed
- Contribute to preparing event reports
- Attend meetings and prepare meeting notes
- Assist in logistics and administrative work
- Perform other operational tasks assigned by the research team
Deliverables
- Prepare an activity plan in discussion with the research team
- Maintain a timesheet
- Complete all assigned tasks
- Prepare a two-page internship report
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate programme in statistics, economics, development studies, political science, public administration, or another relevant quantitative major
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bangla
- Proficiency in Bangla typing (Bijoy and Avro)
- Strong IT skills
- Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
