Job Purpose
The Senior Officer, MIS, MEAL is responsible for operating and updating the BRAC MIS, managing databases, and ensuring basic data analysis. The role includes managing dashboards, following up with programmes for timely data submission, and ensuring data collection tools are properly integrated into digital platforms such as ODK and Kobo. The position will also maintain and update the PIQ action tracker and provide periodic analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate e-Monitoring System and monitor the data submission process
- Support monitoring officers in solving issues related to mobile tablets, internet collection, internet bills, and other logistics
- Provide technical support to the Manager, MEAL, and monitoring officers on online data collection, data editing, data finalisation, and sending data to the e-Monitoring server
- Design e-Monitoring questionnaires using Kobo Tools, ensuring logical checks and skip orders at the design level
- Download data from the e-Monitoring server, check, sort, and clean data for analysis
- Analyse data using SPSS, STATA, and Excel, providing outputs as per the requirements of the Manager, MEAL
- Assist the Manager, MEAL, in designing questionnaires for e-Monitoring systems
- Maintain and update the Programme Quality (PQ) Tracker (JIRA) and BRAC MIS regularly
- Manage the BRAC MIS platform and dashboards for both BRAC MIS and the Programme Quality Action Tracker, updating them as required
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of programme participants, people in contact with the organisation, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA)
- Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment
- Promote and endorse safeguarding policies among team members and ensure their implementation
- Follow safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any other relevant subject
Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of working experience in data management, including data structure/codebook preparation on the Kobo platform and carrying out statistical data analysis
