Sustainable Finance Analyst | IPDC Finance

Responsibilities & Context

Responsible for researching and conducting thorough ESG analysis to identify sustainable finance projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Collaborates with stakeholders, supports reporting, analyses ESG data, and develops client decarbonisation transition plans. Prepares presentations, articles, and training materials while proactively identifying green finance opportunities to advance the sustainability goals of the organisation.

  • Supports timely preparation of regulatory reports regarding sustainability.
  • Conducts ESG assessments to determine green and sustainable finance eligibility and recommends measures to make projects compliant in meeting green/sustainable standards.
  • Monitors emerging ESG trends, peer offerings, sector opportunities, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and pipeline development.
  • Performs quantitative analyses (e.g. ESG scoring, decarbonisation pathways) and supports client sustainability profiling.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance sustainability objectives.
  • Develops and delivers presentations, training, and written materials (e.g. case studies) on sustainable finance.
  • Maintains updated databases regarding sustainability, ensures proper ESG documentation for loans, and meets audit compliance requirements.
  • Provides support on special projects and assignments, particularly those aligned with IPDC’s broader mission and goals in the realms of ESG and sustainable finance.
  • Supports ESG risk management by maintaining updated ESDD checklists, conducting site visits, and monitoring E&S risks in financed projects.
  • Identifies and helps secure low-cost funding sources to support sustainable finance initiatives.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor/Honours

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks
  • Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical abilities, capable of delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and clear articulation of complex ideas.
  • Clear understanding of prevailing regulations, especially applicable Bangladesh Bank circulars.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects, attention to detail, and meet varying and often rapid deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and the ability to quickly adapt to using other software tools.
