The Institute of Information Technology (IIT) at the University of Dhaka has begun the admission process for its Executive Master in Information Technology (MIT) programme for the Fall semester of the 2025–26 academic session.

Key features of the programme:

  • The degree consists of three semesters, each lasting six months
  • Evening classes scheduled after office hours
  • Applications must be submitted online

Eligibility criteria:

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in SE, CE, CSE, IT, CIT, ICT, ECE, ETE, EEE, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Applied Physics, RME, or an equivalent discipline, or a 3–4 year bachelor’s degree with a one-year postgraduate diploma
  • Minimum CGPA 2.50 on a 4.00 scale (or equivalent) in undergraduate level
  • Applicants must not have a third division/class or equivalent in any public examination
  • Priority will be given to candidates with experience in IT jobs or those holding a PGDIT degree

Admission test details:

The admission test will be held in two phases.
The written test will assess proficiency in computer knowledge, quantitative and analytical skills, and English language.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a viva voce, which will determine final selection.

Important dates:

  • Application deadline: 30 July, 2025
  • Written test: 2 August, 2025, at IIT Building, University of Dhaka
  • Written test results: 4 August, 2025
  • Viva voce: 9 August, 2025
  • Final results: 10 August, 2025
  • Merit list (MIT): 12–24 August, 2025
  • Classes begin: 1 September, 2025
