The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka has published its admission notice for the MBA Admission Test for both Full-Time and Part-Time programs for the 2025-2026 session.

Application Submission:

  • Application Deadline (Online): The application must be submitted online by Thursday, 27 November, 2025.
  • Application Fee: The total application fee is BDT 2,080 (including the online processing fee).
  • Required Academic Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 (in a 4.00 point scale) or Second class.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 5.00 (or Second division) in both SSC and HSC exams separately.
    • Minimum GPA of 2.00 in both ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level separately.
    • No Third division/class at SSC/HSC/Bachelor’s level of education.

Written Examination Schedule:

  • Admission Test Date: The MBA Admission Test (2025-2026) will be held on Friday, 5 December, 2025, at 10:00 am.
  • Test Components: The test has two components: Written test and Interview.
  • Written Test Evaluation: The written test evaluates the applicant’s aptitude in English Language & Communication, Mathematics, and Analytical Ability.
  • Qualifying Score: An applicant must obtain a minimum qualifying score in each of the above areas to pass the written test.
  • Interview: After qualifying in the written test, shortlisted applicants must appear before an interview board.

Special Note:

  • GMAT/GRE Exemption (Foreign Applicants): An applicant with a foreign nationality and foreign university degree(s) may be exempted from taking the written test if they have a GMAT/GRE score of minimum 75 percentile. However, they are still required to appear before an interview board.
  • Degree Equivalence: For all foreign certificates/degrees (excluding ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level), equivalence will be determined by the Equivalence Committee of IBA. Without such equivalence, the applicant shall not be eligible to apply for the admission test.
  • UGC Approval: An applicant with a degree from any university/programme not approved by the UGC is not eligible to apply for the admission test.
  • Bachelor’s Result Publication: In order to be eligible for the test, an applicant must obtain the published official result of their Bachelor’s degree on or before November, 2025. An applicant obtaining their result at a later date shall be considered disqualified from the admission process.
