The Department of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (TCChem) at the University of Dhaka invites applications for a full-time regular MS programme. A total of thirty seats are available for this session.

1. Eligibility Criteria Prospective students must meet the following academic requirements:

• Candidates must have completed a four-year graduation in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Physics, Geology, Soil, Water & Environment, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Textile Engineering, or any discipline within Leather Engineering & Technology.
• A minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 is required for the 4-year BS/BSc (Honours)/BSc Engineering degree.
• Applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 5.00 (or equivalent) in both SSC and HSC examinations.
• Students from public universities who have completed all examinations but are awaiting results may apply as “Appeared” candidates, provided they submit their certificates prior to admission.
• Current MS/MSc students are also eligible to apply.
• For applicants who have already completed an MS/MSc degree, the break of study cannot exceed three years from 01 January 2026.

2. Application Process The application involves a multi-step procedure:

3. Admission Test Information The admission test syllabus and venue details are as follows:

• Topics: Physical, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry; Differential and Integral calculus.
• Venue: Dept. of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Dhaka University.
• Admit Card: A scanned copy will be sent via email or can be collected from the department.
