Notre Dame College begins admission process for Class XI

Notre Dame College, one of the nation’s most esteemed institutions, announces the commencement of its Class XI admission process for the academic year 2025–2026. With due approval from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, the college will carry out its admission independently, following its time-honoured tradition of academic excellence and principled formation.
Applications will be accepted only through the official college website (www.ndc.edu.bd) from 12:01am on 29 July until 12:00pm on 7 August. Upon completion of the application, candidates must print their admit cards. The full set of admission guidelines is available on the website.
The application fee is Tk400, payable online via Nagad. This fee is non-refundable.
Eligibility for admission is based on academic merit. Applicants for the Science group (both Bangla and English Versions) must have a GPA of 5.00 with Higher Mathematics. For Business Studies, the minimum GPA required is 4.00, while for Humanities, a GPA of 3.00 is sufficient. However, students from Bangla Medium are not allowed to apply for the English Version. Furthermore, applicants who have participated in SSC “GPA Upgrade” programmes are not eligible.
Students wishing to change departments must meet specific GPA criteria. Those applying from Science to Business Studies must have at least a GPA of 4.25. Applicants shifting from Science or Business Studies to Humanities must have a minimum GPA of 3.50.
The college has reserved 1,810 seats for Science (Bangla Medium), 320 for Science (English Version), 750 for Business Studies, and 410 for Humanities.
All candidates must appear for a written admission test. The date and time of the test will be printed on each applicant’s admit card. Based on performance in the SSC examination and the written test, a select number of students will be called for a viva voce: 1,900 from Science (Bangla), 400 from Science (English), 850 from Business Studies, and 600 from Humanities. Final admission will depend on combined performance in the SSC exam, written test, and interview.
The written admission test will follow the SSC 2025 curriculum. Students changing groups must sit for the test according to their original stream. For instance, Science-to-Humanities or Science-to-Business applicants must sit for the Science group exam. Similarly, Business-to-Humanities applicants will take the Business Studies test.
Subjects covered in the admission test vary by group. Science applicants will be tested in Bangla, English, Higher Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Humanities applicants will face questions in Bangla, English, ICT, and General Knowledge. Business Studies candidates will be examined in Bangla, English, Accounting, ICT, and General Knowledge.
Notre Dame College maintains its longstanding commitment to equity and compassion. Special consideration will be extended to ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, religious minorities, and students from missionary-run schools in remote areas.
Students whose SSC results improve through official re-evaluation must visit the college in person within one day of the re-evaluated result’s publication to update their status.
The college emphasises integrity and discipline. Applicants must be willing to wear the official uniform, carry the college ID card, and attend classes regularly. Those unwilling to comply with these expectations—or those who are smokers—are advised not to apply. Any admission secured through false or misleading information will be cancelled without refund.
