NSU launches Bachelor of Social Science in Anthropology
North South University (NSU) has announced the launch of its new undergraduate programme, Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Anthropology, starting from the Summer 2026 session. The programme will be hosted under the Department of Political Science and Sociology (PSS).
This launch follows a significant milestone for the university, as NSU’s Social Science faculty has secured the top position in Bangladesh according to the Times Higher Education 2026 Rankings.
Programme Highlights and Career Prospects
The BSS in Anthropology is designed to provide students with a global and local curriculum grounded in cultural perspectives. The coursework will cover contemporary thematic areas such as:
- Development and Globalisation
- Environment and Climate Change
- Migration and Displacement
- Digital and Visual Anthropology
Graduates of this programme will be equipped for diverse career paths in research, academia, national and international development organisations (NGOs), public health, and the corporate sector.
