III. Written Test Syllabus Details

Quantitative AptitudeEvaluates aptitude in arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Topics include: Arithmetic: Percentage, proportions, ratios, fraction, interest, simplifications. Algebra: Factors, series, functions, linear equations, graphs. Geometry: Coordinates geometry, loci, straight lines, angles, triangles, parallelograms, rectangles, squares, spheres, circles, areas, volumes, perimeters, planes.
English Language and GrammarTests knowledge and understanding of English grammar, syntax, and comprehension via MCQ. Also includes a writing skills component covering structural writing, short essay, comprehension, précis, paragraph writing, and sentence correction.
Analytical Ability and General KnowledgeTests the candidate’s general knowledge and their analytical ability, logical reasoning, and ability to synthesise information to arrive at logical conclusions. Descriptive, analytical, and quantitative questions of various types might be asked.

IV. Examination Guidelines

  1. The duration of the written test will be 75 minutes.
  2. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in each of the three parts of the test to be considered eligible for admission.
  3. MCQ Sections: All answers must be marked on the provided ANSWER SHEET. For each MCQ question, there are four choices, and only one answer should be selected. The correct answer must be completely darkened with a 2B Pencil. Previous answers must be completely erased if changing a selection.
  4. Descriptive Sections: Candidates must use a ballpoint pen to write their name, admit number, and test booklet number.
  5. All rough works must be done in the Test Booklet only.
  6. Calculator and mobile phone are not allowed in the examination hall.
