Applications are invited for the Professional Master’s in Social Welfare with specialisations in:

• Clinical Social Work (CSW)
• Victimology and Restorative Justice (VRJ)
• Gerontology and Geriatric Welfare (GGW)
• Industrial Relations and Labour Studies (IRLS)

Course Duration 01 year 06 months (3 Semesters)

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum CGPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) at Honours or Master’s level.
• No third division/class at any stage of the educational career is acceptable.
• Honours degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Business Studies, Law, Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Leather Technology, Police Science, Home Economics, Education, Disaster Management, Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational/Language Therapy, or Geography.
• Candidates with Honours or Degree Pass in subjects other than those mentioned must have at least 2 years of work experience in government, semi-government, or NGO sectors.
• Master’s degree holders in any subject are eligible to apply.

Application Process

• Form Collection: Application forms can be collected and submitted at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research office (located west of New Market or adjacent to Old BDR Gate 3) during office hours on all working days until 31 March 2026.
• Application Fee: 1,500.00 BDT.

• Requirements: Two passport-sized photographs and attested copies of marksheets from all examinations must be submitted with the application.

Admission Test

• Date and Time: 04 April 2026 (Saturday) at 12:00 p.m.
• Viva Voce: The oral examination will be held on the same day following the written test.
