With approval from the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, St Joseph Higher Secondary School has announced that it will enroll students in class XI for the 2025–26 academic session through its own admission test process.

Minimum eligibility for application

• Science (Bangla and English versions): Minimum GPA 5.00
• Business Studies (Bangla version): Minimum GPA 3.50
• Humanities (Bangla version): Minimum GPA 3.00
• Applicants for the Science stream (both versions) must have Higher Mathematics and Biology in SSC.

Eligibility for changing streams

• Science to Business Studies: Minimum GPA 4.00 (Bangla version)
• Science to Humanities: Minimum GPA 4.00 (English version)
• Business Studies to Humanities: Minimum GPA 3.50 (Bangla version)

Available seats (tentative)

• Science: 440 seats (Bangla version), 90 seats (English version)
• Business Studies: 90 seats
• Humanities: 70 seats

Application procedure

Applications will be accepted online from 12:01am on 29 July to midnight on 5 August through the school’s official websites: www.sjs.edu.bd or www.sjsadmission.info. Applicants must fill out the form with accurate information based on their SSC admit card and academic transcript.

• A non-refundable fee of Tk400 must be paid via bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Nexus, Visa Card, Master Card, or MTBL (excluding transaction charges).
• Instructions provided on the school’s website must be followed while filling out the form.
• Applicants must download and print the admit card after submitting the application.
• Forms with incorrect or incomplete information, or multiple submissions from the same applicant, will be considered invalid.

Admission process

Candidates will be selected based on scores obtained in both written and oral examinations, as well as their SSC GPA.

Subjects for the written exam (based on SSC 2025 syllabus):

• Science: Bangla, English, Physics, Chemistry, Higher Mathematics, Biology
• Business Studies: Bangla, English, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance & Banking, Business Entrepreneurship
• Humanities: Bangla, English, Mathematics, General Science, ICT, and General Knowledge (Geography & Environment, History & World Civilisation, Economics & Civics)

Applicants changing streams must take the test for their current group.
For example, a student moving from Science to Humanities must sit for the Science stream exam.

Exam schedule

• Written and oral exams will be held on 8 and 9 August 2025.
• The specific date and time will be mentioned on the admit card.
• Candidates must report to the St Joseph campus at least 30 minutes before the test.
• Exam schedule and seating plan will be published at 12pm on 7 August 2025 on the school’s website, Facebook page (facebook.com/SJHSSOfficial), and notice board.

Required documents and materials on exam day

• Printed admit card issued by the institution
• SSC admit card and internet copy of academic transcript (with both letter grades and marks)
• Pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, and a non-programmable scientific calculator

Merit lists, waiting lists, and all other admission-related information will be available on the school’s website, Facebook page, and notice board.
