The Bangladesh-German Technical Training Centre (BGTTC) has opened enrollment for five short-term training courses, designed to equip trainees with employable skills.

The courses, offered free of cost under government sponsorship, are being conducted with support from the World Bank and the Skills Enhancement and Strengthening for Economic Transformation (ASSET) project, reports Prothom Alo.

Applicants must submit their forms by 24 July, 2025. For the first three courses, candidates with at least Class 8 education—both male and female—are eligible, while the other two courses require SSC qualification and are open to female trainees only.

Each course will run for three months (360 hours), with 24 seats available per course. Trainees will receive benefits and stipends as per ASSET project guidelines.

Courses offered include Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Tailoring and Dress Making, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Computer Operation, and CAD Operation.

Applicants must submit three recent passport-size photos, photocopies of their NID or birth certificate, and academic transcripts. The admission process, including lottery or interview, will be held on 28 July, and results will be announced on 29 July, followed by admission and waitlist procedures on 30 July. Classes are set to begin on 3 August, 2025.

Further details are available on the centre’s website.
