The government has launched fully funded training opportunities in hotel and tourism at 11 institutions across the country. Applicants interested in industry-relevant, employment-focused courses must submit their applications by 22 July.

The initiative is being implemented under the supervision of the Finance Division, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Skills Council, and SEIP. All training will be conducted free of cost, reports Prothom Alo.

Eligibility:

Applicants must have a minimum educational qualification of SSC or equivalent and be between 18 and 45 years of age.

Facilities for trainees:

  1. Certificates will be awarded upon successful completion, along with employment support.
  2. Trainees with at least 80% attendance will receive allowances for transportation and meals.

Key Details:

  • Course duration: 4 months (500 hours), including 2 months of institutional training and 2 months of on-the-job industry training.
  • Application deadline: 22 July, 2025. Admission test dates and results will be announced by the respective training centres.
  • Classes begin: 3 August, 2025.
  • Class schedule: 5 days a week, 5 hours per day. Industry training will follow the organisation’s schedule.
  • Priority will be given to: women, ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and underprivileged applicants.
  • Required documents: Two passport-size photos, attested copies of SSC certificate, NID or birth registration. Applicants born before 3 August, 2007, must submit their NID.
  • Restrictions: Each applicant may apply to only one course. Those who have previously enrolled in SEIP courses are ineligible.
