The Russian government is offering fully-funded scholarships for international students for the 2026 academic year through the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project. This opportunity allows successful applicants to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Postdoctoral studies at 24 of Russia’s leading universities without paying tuition fees. The scholarship is open to students who have completed higher secondary education or its equivalent and have a strong academic record. • Eligibility:
  • Applicants must be a foreign citizen or stateless person.
  • For Bachelor’s degrees, you must have completed higher secondary education or equivalent.
  • For Master’s degrees, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree or be in the process of completing it in the year of the Olympiad.
  • For PhD degrees, you must hold a Master’s or specialist degree or be in the process of completing it in the year of the Olympiad.
  • For Postdoctoral studies, you must hold a PhD or equivalent degree at the time of application.
  • Participation in the entrance examination is mandatory.
• Application Requirements:
  • A mandatory part of the portfolio application is a motivational letter and proof of educational qualifications. Other documents may be uploaded to increase your score.
  • The application process involves online registration and submission of a portfolio.
  • All documents must be in English or Russian, or accompanied by a translation.
• Language Criteria:
  • You must be proficient in either English or Russian.
  • English or Russian language certificates are not strictly required for the initial application, but having them can be an advantage.
