The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) has officially announced its call for applications for the 2026-2027 academic session. Aimed at bolstering the capacity of civil servants in Bangladesh, this prestigious programme offers fully funded opportunities for Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Japan.
1. Programme Overview
The JDS project seeks high-calibre officials to undertake research in Japanese universities. All courses are conducted in English.
- Master’s Programme: 2-year duration (30 seats available).
- Doctoral Programme: 3-year duration.
2. Eligibility Criteria

5. Important Application Instructions
- Method: Applications must be submitted through the JICE Online Application System.
- Authorisation: Applicants must attach a permission letter from their respective Controlling Authority. Applications without this official clearance will be rejected.
- Integrity: Any evidence of plagiarism or false statements will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Health: Successful candidates must pass a health check-up at a designated hospital in Dhaka.
