The Science and Technology Fellowship Trust, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, invites applications from genuine Bangladeshi citizens for higher education fellowships (MS, MPhil, and PhD) both within the country and abroad.

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To ensure a high standard of research and academic excellence, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Nationality: Applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens.
• Age Limit (as of the application deadline):
  • MS/MPhil/Equivalent: Maximum 35 years.
  • PhD Programme: Maximum 42 years.
• University Ranking (For Overseas Fellowship): Only those who have secured a final offer letter from a university ranked between 1–400 in the latest ‘The Times Higher Education World University Rankings’ at the time of the advertisement are eligible.
• Language Proficiency: For overseas applications, a valid IELTS (Academic), TOEFL iBT, or PTE Academic score (as per the trust’s policy) must be achieved by the application deadline.

The fellowship covers a wide array of scientific and technological disciplines:

3. APPLICATION FEES

The following non-refundable fees must be paid online via the trust’s official payment gateway:

• Domestic Fellowship: BDT 2,000/-
• Overseas Fellowship: BDT 5,000/-

4. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The application process consists of two mandatory steps. Failure to complete both will render the application incomplete.

Step 1: Online Submission

Step 2: Physical Document Submission

After online submission, a physical copy must be sent to the Trust office.

• Documents Required: Printed application form, three copies of passport-sized photographs, and all academic certificates/transcripts.
• Attestation: All documents must be attested by a 1st Class Gazetted Officer; the attestation must include the officer’s name, designation, and official seal.
• Binding: Documents must be Spiral Bound (A4 size) and placed in a sealed envelope.
• Mailing Address: Chief Executive Officer, Science and Technology Fellowship Trust, 11th Floor, National Science and Technology Complex (NSTC), Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207.
