Erasmus Mundus Vector

The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship offers fully funded opportunities to pursue a master’s degree at multiple universities across Europe. It is one of the most prestigious and competitive scholarships funded by the European Union.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have completed a bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 180 or 240 ECTS) before the programme starts.
  • No age limit to apply.
  • A good academic record is essential (typically a CGPA of 3.0+ out of 4.0 is considered competitive).
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory (IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or other accepted tests, depending on the programme’s requirements).
  • Students applying from Bangladesh are classified as “Partner Country” applicants (eligible for additional financial benefits).
  • Applicants must not have previously received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for another master’s programme.

Benefits

The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides a generous monthly stipend of approximately €1,400 to cover living expenses. In addition, recipients receive a travel allowance, which varies depending on their home country, as well as an installation allowance to support their initial arrival in Europe. The scholarship also includes comprehensive health and accident insurance for the entire duration of the study period.

Application Process

1. Research Programmes

Each programme is run by a consortium of universities and offers specific areas of study.

2. Prepare the Required Documents

  • The generally required documents include:
  • Academic transcripts and degree certificates
  • Curriculum Vitae (following the Europass format)
  • Motivation letter
  • Two or three recommendation letters
  • English language proficiency certificate (IELTS Academic typically 6.5 overall or higher, though requirements vary)
  • Passport copy
  • Other documents such as proof of residence, work experience certificates, or project reports, if required

3. Submit the Online Application

  • Each master’s programme has its own application portal.
  • Students must apply directly to the programme through their official website and upload all necessary documents.
  • Applications Deadline: 12 February 2026

4. Scholarship Notification

Shortlisted candidates are notified around March to May.

If selected, students will receive a scholarship offer covering tuition fees, a monthly stipend, and travel and installation allowances.
