Comilla Modern High School named champions of 10th Prime Bank National School Cricket Tournament

Comilla Modern High School has been declared the champion of the 10th Prime Bank National School Cricket Tournament for the 2024–25 season.
Organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and sponsored by Prime Bank since 2015, the tournament is one of the country’s largest platforms for school-level cricketers. Over the past decade, more than 66,000 students have taken part in the competition, which aims to support the development of young cricketing talent across Bangladesh.
This year’s final between Comilla Modern High School and Bogura Police Lines School and College could not be played due to inclement weather and heavy rainfall. As a result, the BCB decided to determine the winner through a coin toss, which Comilla Modern High School won. Bogura Police Lines School and College finished as runners-up.
Afnaan Intehaad from Comilla Modern High School was the tournament’s highest run-scorer, registering 206 runs in three innings at an average of nearly 69. Akash Roy from Bogura Police Lines School and College was the top wicket-taker, claiming 11 wickets in three matches. He also scored 127 runs during the tournament.
The champion team received prize money of Tk1,50,000, while the runners-up were awarded Tk1,00,000.
The prize-giving ceremony was attended by BCB’s Head of Game Development Operations and former national captain Habibul Bashar Sumon, along with national team pacer Taskin Ahmed. Prime Bank PLC was represented by Mamur Ahmed, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Distribution, and Syed Rayhan Tarique, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Brand and Communications.
