Kaká responds to Ancelotti assistant coach rumour

Carlo Ancelotti’s reported appointment as Brazil’s national team coach has gained further traction as 2002 World Cup winner Kaká confirmed his willingness to join as an assistant. According to CNN Brazil host Benjamin Back, Ancelotti wants Kaká on his staff — a move the former midfielder now says he’s “ready” for.
In an interview with Brazil’s Cage TV, the 43-year-old said, “If the team thinks I can help in any way, now is the time. I’m ready.” He added that he’s been preparing for a coaching role, having studied sports business at Harvard, completed coaching courses at CBF, and gathered experience with the national squad.
Kaká had a successful spell under Ancelotti at AC Milan, winning the Champions League, Serie A, and the Ballon d’Or. CBF announced Ancelotti’s appointment on 12 May, with his official duties starting on 26 May. Brazil faces Ecuador and Paraguay in crucial qualifiers in June.
