Hulk Hogan, who played a central role in turning professional wrestling into a global entertainment industry, has died at the age of 71 in Clearwater, Florida.

According to a statement from the Clearwater Police Department, posted on Facebook, Hogan died following a cardiac arrest. The flamboyant wrestler remained in the public eye even after retirement, most recently making headlines at the 2024 Republican National Convention by unveiling a Trump/Vance shirt on stage. Known for his iconic moustache, ripped shirts, and “24-inch pythons,” Hogan captivated fans for decades.
