“This is a new chapter for me in my professional career. I am ready to elevate myself on my journey as a strong leader not only in women’s football but anywhere in the world.”
These words are by Sainey Sissohore Mboge from Gambia, as she used to explain how much the Women in Football Leadership Programme (WFLP) means to her. She is one of 32 women from the member associations from all six confederations that participated in the latest edition of the Women in Football Leadership Programme, via which FIFA, UEFA, and the IMD Business School promote women in leadership positions over the globe.
This is the third edition of the program in cooperation with UEFA, after the editions held in 2018 and 2019.
The initiative also serves to construct a robust network of women to accelerate their careers, have an impact on the improvement of the sport, and become role models for other women.
