Daffodil International University (DIU) has achieved a historic milestone by being jointly ranked first among all universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, released on 9 October 2025.

Globally, DIU secured a position in the 801–1000 band among 2,191 ranked universities, reaffirming its status as a high research-intensive institution and one of the nation’s leading centres of academic excellence.

This year, DIU demonstrated strong performance across all ranking indicators and was placed 292nd globally in the ‘Research Quality’ parameter — underscoring its growing international reputation for impactful and high-quality research.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious global ranking systems, evaluating universities based on teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. DIU’s performance in this year’s ranking reflects its continued progress, global visibility, and academic leadership in Bangladesh and beyond.
