PSTU Career Club hosts Career Fest 2025

The Career Club of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTUCC) hosted its first-ever Career Fest 2025 on 27–28 June. The two-day festival served as a dynamic platform to connect academic learning with professional aspirations, bringing together students, industry experts, public sector representatives, and academics through a series of interactive sessions, competitions, and career-focused discussions.
The inaugural day commenced with a keynote address from Asif Iqbal, Founder of Axis and Gaanchill Music, who captivated the audience with reflections on his diverse career. Urging students to embrace creativity, purpose, and adaptability, he inspired them to venture beyond conventional career paths.
Day one also featured a range of engaging activities, including an extempore speech competition, treasure hunt, business case competition, mock interview sessions, and a special interactive segment led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). These activities challenged students with real-world scenarios, encouraging leadership and communication skill development. The enthusiastic participation underscored the students’ eagerness to prepare for life beyond the classroom.
The second day focused on industry-academia dialogue, with a series of knowledge-sharing sessions featuring distinguished speakers from various sectors. Notable speakers included Rahul Datta (BAT Bangladesh), Mahbub Nahid (Columnist), Adnan Naser Dhrubo (Entrepreneur), Javed Meandad (Save the Children Bangladesh), Fazly Rabbi (Ministry of LGRD & Co-operatives), Ruhan Zunaid Ul Islam (Marico Bangladesh), Md Ashikur Rahman Ashik (BDApps), Mahmud Hasan Prince (Ispahani Agro Limited), Khandokar Tanveer Ahsan (PALMPAY), and Mir Mohammad Ali (Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University).
Participants described the fest as a transformative experience that empowered them to align their interests and ambitions with viable career paths. With its vibrant sessions and opportunities for professional networking, Career Fest 2025 marked a pivotal moment in PSTU’s journey to better prepare its students for the challenges and opportunities of the modern job market.
