Around 80,000 Bangladeshi students are currently waiting for German visas after applying between 2024 and 2025.
German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Achim Troster, shared this information on his X (formerly Twitter) handle today. According to him, 10,955 students applied in the first quarter of 2024, followed by 10,635 in the second quarter, 16,469 in the third, and 14,476 in the final quarter. Additionally, 8,762 students have applied from January 2025 to date. This brings the total applications to 79,880.
The rising number of Bangladeshi students seeking education in Germany highlights the country’s growing popularity as a study destination. However, the large volume of applications may result in longer processing times. Many applicants are now eagerly waiting for their visa approvals to pursue higher education in Germany.
