Alim registration cards to be distributed over five days from 4 May

The Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board will begin distributing registration cards for Alim examinees on 4 May, with the process set to continue until 8 May. Heads of institutions or authorised representatives from eight designated regional offices must collect the cards along with required documents and ensure timely distribution to students.

According to a notice issued on Monday (28 April), the registration cards for Alim candidates under the 2023–24 academic session have already been dispatched to the board’s regional offices in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Cumilla, Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna, Rajshahi, and Rangpur.

Institutions under the Dhaka region must collect the cards from the board’s registration section, while those in other regions must visit the respective regional offices. If any discrepancies are found in the cards—such as incorrect division, subject, photograph, or data mismatches—corrections may be requested by submitting relevant documents to the registrar’s office by 25 May. The application must be made in consultation with the respective regional office.

The notice further outlines that madrasah heads must apply on official letterhead to collect the cards. For Dhaka region institutions, the head or a designated representative must appear in person at the board office with a letter of authorisation and three attested specimen signatures. The application must also bear countersignature from either the governing body or managing committee chairman, or the relevant upazila executive officer. Cards will not be issued otherwise.

Institutions in other regions must follow the same procedure via their respective regional offices. Once collected, the cards must be distributed to students without delay.
