BCS written exam scores to be disclosed to candidates

In a move towards greater transparency, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to inform candidates of their scores in the written segment of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.

This initiative is set to begin with the upcoming BCS exams, reports Prothom Alo.

PSC Chairman Professor Mobassher Monem stated that candidates have the right to know their written exam scores, describing the step as a significant measure to enhance transparency in the commission’s operations.

Earlier, BCS candidates had proposed various reforms, including specifying the number of candidates passing the preliminary exam, disclosing cut-off marks via SMS, and providing question papers after exams. These suggestions were made during stakeholder discussions on BCS reforms in January.

This move is expected to provide candidates with clearer insights into their performance and reduce concerns regarding the evaluation process.
