Architect Mohammed Rezwan, the innovator behind floating schools, has been selected as a Yale World Fellow for 2025. This prestigious fellowship, awarded by Yale University, is one of the world’s most competitive leadership programmes.
Rezwan joins 15 other distinguished individuals from over 4,200 nominees globally. His sustainable floating schools, developed through his organisation Shidhulai Swanirvar Sangstha, provide education to flood-affected children in Bangladesh and have been replicated in eight countries.
Emma Sky, Director of Yale’s International Leadership Centre, hailed his model as a beacon of hope for climate adaptation. As a World Fellow, Rezwan will mentor Yale students, participate in global discussions, and share Bangladesh’s experiences in climate resilience and education.
