Ex-Ducsu VP candidate Shameem Hossen appointed as a lecturer at Northern University 

Shameem Hossen, a widely discussed vice-presidential (VP) candidate in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election, has been appointed as a lecturer in English at the private higher education institution Northern University Bangladesh.

On 24 february, Shameem confirmed the news through a post on his verified Facebook account, where he shared photos of the occasion. One of the images shows him receiving his appointment letter from the Vice-Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman.

According to the post, Shameem  has joined as a lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature. Shameem is a former student of the Department of English at the University of Dhaka. He gained significant attention during the DUCSU election when he contested the vice-president (VP) position as an independent candidate, securing 3,884 votes.
