The Ministry of Education has started the online verification and authentication of certificates, including SSC and HSC exam certificates, academic transcripts, and mark sheets, for anyone wishing to study abroad.
To expedite this process, a Quick Response (QR) code link related to the procedure was posted on 11 December on the Ministry of Education’s verified Facebook page.
Students can now complete the verification of their certificates online. By accessing the online application module on the website, they can submit their applications.
Previously, the government decided to offer online verification of public exam certificates in order to reduce the hassles for students going abroad. This process began on 1 October, meaning students no longer need to go to the Ministry of Education with the original certificate.
Previously, when going abroad, many documents needed to be verified. For educational certificates, they had to be first attested by the Ministry of Education and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After that, the respective country’s embassy verifies the documents, after which they become valid in that country. For countries without an embassy in Bangladesh, the certificate must be submitted to the embassy in Delhi for authentication. This process, indeed, causes significant complications.
