The results of the Junior Scholarship Examination 2025 under the nine general education boards of the country were published on Wednesday (25 February)
At 1:30 pm, the results were officially announced in the Ministry of Education conference room by the Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon and State Minister Boby Hajjaj.
According to the results, a total of 46,200 students have been awarded scholarships. Among them, 14,700 students received Talent Pool or Merit Scholarships, while 31,500 students received General Scholarships. The results will also be published simultaneously on the websites of the respective education boards.
Board-wise Distribution of Results:
- Dhaka Board: Talent Pool 3,622, General 7,762 (Total 11,384)
- Rajshahi Board: Talent Pool 1,917, General 4,110 (Total 6,027)
- Comilla Board: Talent Pool 1,671, General 3,581 (Total 5,252)
- Jessore Board: Talent Pool 1,656, General 3,549 (Total 5,205)
- Chittagong Board: Talent Pool 1,227, General 2,630 (Total 3,857)
- Sylhet Board: Talent Pool 960, General 2,057 (Total 3,017)
- Barishal Board: Talent Pool 870, General 1,865 (Total 2,735)
- Dinajpur Board: Talent Pool 1,810, General 3,881 (Total 5,691)
- Mymensingh Board: Talent Pool 967, General 2,065 (Total 3,032)
The examination was held from 28 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. It was conducted for a total of 400 marks and included the subjects Bangla, English, Mathematics, Science, and Bangladesh and World Introduction. A total of 315,160 students participated in the examination.
Financial Benefits of the Scholarships:
- Talent Pool Scholarship: Monthly BDT 450, one-time annual BDT 560
- General Scholarship: Monthly BDT 300, one-time BDT 350
Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon stated, “We are committed to ensuring quality education for students and providing scholarships to deserving students based on merit assessment. These scholarships will play a significant role in encouraging students and providing financial support in their educational journey.”
State Minister Boby Hajjaj added, “This initiative recognises the education, practice, and hard work of scholarship recipients. We have completed all preparations to ensure the transparency and quality of the education boards’ results.”
Through the results of this scholarship examination, students will be able to plan their future education more effectively. Moreover, by recognising students’ interest and talent, the government’s financial support will achieve its goal of nurturing their abilities.
