Kuet students urge CA to remove VC, Pro-VC

Students of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (Kuet) have urged Chief Adviser Mohammad Yunus to remove Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Masud and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shariful Islam, citing administrative failure and political interference.

In a letter signed by around 5,000 students, they accused the administration of inaction during a 18 February attack, where Chhatra Dal activists allegedly injured over 150 students. Despite repeated ultimatums, their six-point demand, including leadership changes, remains unmet.

Students marched to the VC’s residence yesterday (21 February), locking its main gate in protest, and plan to physically submit the letter to the chief adviser tomorrow (23 February).
