A JU student and a tea vendor were injured in separate fox attacks at Jahangirnagar University’s Bot Tola area late Monday night.
The incidents occurred between 12:00 am and 12:20 am near the Water Research Centre. The injured were identified as Farhaduzzaman, a student of the Journalism and Media Studies department and a campus correspondent for Desh Rupantor, and Md Hannan, a tea vendor on campus. Both received treatment at the university’s medical centre.
According to the victims, Farhaduzzaman was bitten on his leg when he went to relieve himself near the jungle. He managed to scare off the fox by kicking it. A similar attack took place when Hannan was bitten in the same area while attending to nature’s call behind his shop.
