The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of Bangladesh has announced financial grants for youth organisations and voluntary associations engaged in youth development activities between 2014 and 2025. The grants aim to support initiatives that contribute to social awareness, skills development, and community welfare.
Eligibility and application requirements
- Organisations must be registered under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in accordance with the Youth Organisation Act 2019.
- Only not-for-profit and voluntary youth organisations are eligible to apply.
- Funding will not be provided for projects or activities related to traditional education, religious institutions, loan-based programmes, or heritage preservation.
- Priority will be given to projects that have already secured at least 20% of their total estimated budget from other sources.
- Organisations involved in skill development or entrepreneurship training must be affiliated with a technical education board or accredited institution.
- Grants will be awarded only for activities that align with national policies and objectives.
- Organisations that have previously received funding from the Ministry of Youth and Sports between 2010-2011, 2012-2013, or 2020-2024 will not be eligible for further funding this year.
- Preference will be given to organisations working in poverty-affected areas, as identified by the Poverty Map of Bangladesh.
- Grant applications must be supported by detailed project proposals, including financial breakdowns and previous activity reports.
- Funding will not be awarded to projects that overlap with government-run programmes.
- Organisations must meet at least three of the following criteria to qualify:
- Be registered for at least three years.
- Have a permanent office and ongoing activities.
- Have at least five active members involved in youth-related work.
- Maintain proper documentation and audited financial records.
Eligible areas for funding
The grant will support initiatives in the following sectors:
- Social awareness projects, including campaigns on child marriage prevention, gender equality, drug prevention, and climate change.
- Youth skill development and employment programmes, such as vocational training, start-up support, and leadership training.
- Public health and safety initiatives, including mental health awareness, road safety, and disaster preparedness.
- Cultural, literary, and sports activities promoting youth engagement in creative fields.
- Environmental sustainability projects, such as tree planting, clean-up drives, and eco-tourism development.
Application process and deadline
- Applications must be submitted online through the official Ministry of Youth and Sports website (www.moysports.gov.bd) or via the dedicated portal at http://43.229.14.43.
- Applicants must upload a PDF version of their proposal, along with supporting documents, by 7 April 2025 (24 Chaitra 1431, Bengali calendar).
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
