Former coordinators of the Students Against Discrimination have officially launched a new student organisation named ‘Bangladesh Gonotantrik Chhatro Sangsad’.
Abu Baker Majumder has been named the central convener of the new student organisation.
The organisation was formally launched at a press conference at the Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University this afternoon (26 February).
Earlier on 17 February, several coordinators of the Students Against Discrimination held a press conference at the Madhur Canteen and announced plans to form this student organisation following a two-day public opinion survey, breaking away from the original group.
Abu Baker Majumder had said the new organisation will remain independent of partisan student politics, operating under the slogan “Student first, Bangladesh first”.
